Hi,
I'm Dawn

This is who the Lord made me to be...

ISAIAH 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me to
preach good tidings unto the meek;
He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,
to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called
trees of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord,
that He might be glorified.

ON THE PERSONAL SIDE:
I am married,
have two grown children
& three grandchildren
who live way too far away.

EXPERIENCE:
I've helped people with their issues all of my life really.
My high school friends will vouch for me.
I knew I was going to get my master's degree
because I knew I could really help people.
It was later that I found out that the
Lord had the same plan for me!

WHEN:
I waited until my kids grew up,
prayed again to see if the Lord still had the same
goal in mind for me to do. He did!
Then sought my degree.
He did lead me to a Christian University this time,
and now I understand why!

MY FAITH:
The Lord Jesus Christ shows up for
those I help, and I'm so grateful.

He is so so good.

MY BACKGROUND:
Growing up in three different houses forcing me
to learn different ways of life.
I've experienced very difficult things that
no child should have to,
but I was also
loved.

My mission became to help children
through times like mine
knowing they truly had no choice
what family they were born into,
BUT...

GOD KNEW!

...not only did the Lord choose our families,
but He promises to use all for good
for those who love Him and
are called according to His purpose. (Rom 8:28)

That can be you.
It's truly a choice.

See, I've learned that in order to
help the children, the whole family
unit matters. Helping mom and dad,
marriages, and more will help
the children.

Now I am focused on the
family
as a unit.

I am Dawn Friend.
I love my last name, too!

This is about you,
but I know You might want to know
who you might be working with and learning from.
It's a very important decision
to trust someone on any level.

MY CREDENTIALS:
I'll start from the end.
My last degree was my

Master's Degree
in Christian Counseling
from
Christian Leadership University
created and led
by Dr. Mark and Patti Virkler.

I need to clarify that I hold a master's degree in
Christian Counseling, however, I am not a state-licensed mental health professional
and do not provide clinical therapy.

I am a Christian Spiritual Advisior, Mentor, and Minister with hands-on learning including prayer, deliverance,
and advice that lines up with the Word of God.
I will certainly hear
your concerns you have in life and offer sound advice
from years of schooling, experience, ministry and more,
but I will never diagnose.

I'm here to offer FREEDOM from a Biblical standard
and from the authority we are given from God.
You will learn how, too, as we go.

I have realized through my 58 years of life
that the ONLY way to have
TRUE FREEDOM
comes from FREEDOM in the Lord!
I believe I can help you get there, too!

Jesus, shows up for those I work with!

 I was born in Las Vegas, NV, moved to
Reno, NV where I earned my

Bachelors Degree
in
Elementary and Special Education

I became an elementary
school teacher where I found myself
advising many young people until
my first baby was born the
very last day of the school year!

After I raised my two children
getting more training, of course,
I moved across the country
to the Midwest where I call home now.

What a different world!

STRETCHING:
It's been a lifetime of many stretches in my own life.

I KNOW the Lord, Jesus,
has a plan for each one of our lives
and if we want it, He will help us achieve it!

I do not take insurance, but
I am able to help in any state remotely.

WHAT?
I plan to develop some classes, workshops,
group talking, and possibly even retreats.
It's all up to you, me, and what the Lord shows me.
He's showing me!
It's when and who that
I don't know yet. ;)

I also am working on several
books
that will help answer so many questions
families have. Things change at different
stages of childhood and seasons of life.

The family unit has really taken a beating,

BUT

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!

Achieving
FREEDOM and SUCCESS in life
without taking an entire lifetime
to do it in, is something I hope to help others do.
Afterall,
we are only given one.

In Psalms, it says that
the Lord gives us the desire of our hearts when
we delight in Him.
I believe He places the actual desires
in our hearts
AND
helps them come to furition
...when you delight in Him, of course!
